The mashups webring is a webring containing sites operated by, and/or heavily featuring the work of mashup/remix artists.
As wikipedia defines it, a webring is "a collection of websites linked together in a circular structure, usually organized around a specific theme... They were popular in the 1990s and early 2000s, particularly among amateur websites."
Now, to touch on the other half of the title: A "mashup" is a musical piece created by sampling two or more existing pieces of music, and using them as its basis. A mashup song may include aspects made specifically for it, such as an original melody, but it relies on samples for the most part.

how to join: the details
requirements:
- you operate a website that showcases your own mashups.
- you're willing to have the webring widget displayed somewhere visible on your site, preferably the page for which the url you provide. this is so that people can go from site to site easily, and the webRING is actually, like, a ring.
- your website doesn't support messages of bigotry (racism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, ableism, zionism, etc.), or endorse AI, NFTs, crypto, etc (all that weiiirddo shit).
- that's kinda it lmao, just be cool and not a piece of shit and u should be fine.
